The things you’ll want to keep straight
Quartz IR performs best when it’s aimed at a clean, reflective hearth and paired with a thermostat that can keep up with the fast response. Keep the heater housing and reflector clear—grease and flour buildup will rob output and throw off browning. Because the heat is directional, you may need to adjust rack height or add a secondary bottom heat source for very thick or loaded pans. Plan the wiring to match your oven’s voltage and amperage, and use high-temperature rated leads so the terminals don’t fail early.
