If you run a PET blowing line, you know the drill. A shortwave infrared lamp pops, and suddenly you’re stuck. You usually have two choices. You can pay the “OEM tax” and buy expensive spares directly from Sidel or Krones. Or, you can gamble on a cheap third-party part and pray it actually fits the bracket. We got tired of that trade-off. So, we built a heater lamp that just works. It’s a drop-in replacement designed to fit about 95% of the blowing equipment out there. No hacking, no praying, no headaches. Why they actually fit It really comes down to three things: voltage, wattage, and size. Most high-output machines run on 220V or 400V. We match those electrical loads exactly. Why? Because nobody wants to spend their afternoon replacing blown fuses or dealing with PET that isn’t heating up properly. Then there’s the length. In this business, 1mm is the difference between a perfect fit and a lamp that won’t seat in the bracket. We keep our tolerances tight. You just swap them out and get back to work. The guts of the lamp We use high-purity quartz glass and halogen gas. It sounds technical, but here’s what it actually does: it lets the filament get hotter without burning itself out too quickly. For the connections, we stuck with standard R7s and Sk15 bases. They can handle the heavy current needed for those rapid heating cycles without melting or pitting the contacts. It’s sturdy gear. A quick heads-up from the field These lamps pack a punch. They give you the heat density you need for fast cycles, and you’ll notice the thermal profile stays consistent. That means no more annoying variations in your wall thickness. But, a word of advice. When you run these at max wattage, they put a lot of heat on your oven’s cooling fans. If your vents are clogged or your airflow is weak, the tunnel will get too hot. That can actually warp the plastic parts nearby. Keep your airflow clear. Your lamps—and your machine—will thank you.
